Every Dog Deserves a Couch to Hog

Mindy usually has to see you a few times before your name really gets engraved in her head. But the dogs? They take up a special place immediately. She can tell you their names, their personalities, who loves which toy, who wants extra snuggles, and who has perfected the "please don't stop petting me" face within minutes of meeting them.

That love for animals is a huge part of what led Mindy to Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue in Minooka, Illinois, where she has been volunteering for the past several months. She shows up to walk dogs, clean kennels, give baths, help with the daily work, and most importantly, make sure every dog feels seen, safe, and loved while waiting for a forever home. She doesn't do it for credit or attention. She does it because she believes these animals deserve kindness, patience, and a real chance.

This fundraiser is her way of doing even more. Every dollar raised goes directly to Wags 2 Wishes to help cover vet bills, food, supplies, and everything these pups need to stay healthy, happy, and ready for their people.

And to make things even more fun, there's a little friendly competition involved. If Mindy is the one who reaches $1,000 in donations, she wins the chance to spend the night with select puppies at the rescue for a special overnight puppy sleepover. Basically, it's the dream prize: puppy cuddles, tail wags, late-night snuggles, and probably the cutest "sleepover" ever.
